Trash/Recycling Service Information
Filing I and II Residents,
We have received final votes and responses from more than 80% of our community in regards to enrolling, and managing via HOA dues (and one special assessment this year) a neighborhood trash and recycling program.
The option that received the most votes was option 1:
- OPTION #1 – Weekly Trash / Bi-Weekly Recycling Pickup and Homeowner Providers Own Trash & Recycle Cans
- Cost – $11.75 a month / $141 annually
- Estimated Homeowner Savings – $4.25 – $22.25 a month / $51 – $267 annually
Annual Dues Increase – $141
We are finalizing the contract with American Disposal and will deliver via US mail a letter to each home with details on the start date, day of week service, and invoice amount for this year by the first week of July.
Once received please contact your current service provider to advise of end dates on your current agreements. The service providers that we spoke to during the request for proposal phase of this project all advised they would honor refunds on contract cancellations.
We expect the new service to begin in early September, but will again confirm that information definitively with the letter you will receive in a couple of weeks.
In 2019, the service fee will be assessed with the annual HOA dues, due in April.
Thank you all for your feedback, participation, and assistance with this. We are looking forward to eliminating the amount of noise, traffic, and safety concerns that come with 9 service providers a week rumbling through our neighborhood.
